About Prayer Ministry 

At Quest we believe in the power of prayer! And its importance in maintaining a healthy personal relationship with God, Our Father. We believe that God hears, in fact, leans in toward us as we pray (read Psalm 40). He listens and engages in our day to day practicing the presence of God. He speaks to us with a still small voice, with His Word, the Bible, with other people. He shows Himself in all He has made (read Romans 1:20). We pray in conversation, we pray with petition, we pray in repentance, we pray in celebration! He gives us strength to pray, wrestle in prayer, grow our faith, and plead for His Kingdom to come. Furthermore, as a church we together and for each other. In the body of Christ, the Holy Spirit joins our hearts together in fellowship and allows us to care for and intercede for each other (read 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12).

The Importance of Prayer Ministry

At Quest we believe that prayer is the way that we Communicate with God and also how He ministers to us. We want to model, teach, equip, and bring comfort to our church body in prayer and through prayer. We believe what James 5:16 teaches which says that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective and that when we confess and pray for one another that healing can begin.  Jesus modeled for us the importance of prayer in times alone with the Father and also taught His disciples how to pray for those in need.  We desire to live in this way as Jesus taught us.

Mission 

To help connect people to Christ through prayer. The Prayer Ministry aims to teach and lead the church in both individual and corporate prayer. We will not seek our own will through our own efforts but we will humbly come before God with a repentant heart seeking His will. We submit to Jesus Christ as the Head of the church and will strive to obey His command that His church should be called a House of Prayer.

…For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. -ISAIAH 56:7B

Intercessory Prayer Ministry
The Intercessors ministry is a group of prayer warriors that intercede on behalf of the church and the needs of its members. It is amazing to be able to pray in God's will and really see His answers manifest. Every Monday we lift the people of our church before God for their needs and also the needs of the church itself. We have been apart of many miracles and magnificent answers to these prayers and have truly seen the hand of God hold tight to our Church. We are so blessed by the Holy Spirit and so blessed by the deep friendships we have established in our group in learning how to love and pray together.

 

 

Intercessory Prayer Team Schedule 

Intercessors must be available each week to pray at these times, for our church and our worship services.

• Sunday Morning Pre-Service Prayer

      11:40am - 12:00pm

• During the Worship Service, Sermon and Altar Call

      Intercessors should Pray and Intercede

• Sunday Afternoon Post Service Prayer

      After Service 

• Wednesday Midweek Service

      5:30am - 6:30pm

Would you like to pray for the church? Has God called you to pray? Can you commit to an half hour of prayer each day or a few hours on the weekend? Please help us fill up our days and weeks with Prayer for Quest! We will be working on a calendar/timetable to demonstrate how God has called you and others into this disciplined time of prayer.
