Quest Kidz

God's Word encourages us to raise children in the way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. As parents, grandparents, and mentors, it's important for us to help our children learn and understand the promises of God. If we do lead as examples of Jesus Christ and we speak Scriptures of promise but also of warnings to our children, they will know the way to choose. Even when we fail to see God working in the lives of our children, we can have faith that his Word will not return void!

Quest Kid’s Mission

To help kids/students connect into a growing community of multiplying Christ-followers. We accomplish this through helping kids live the Way of Christ:

1. Love God (Attend)
We teach kids who God is and what it looks like to live in a loving relationship with him.

Mark 12:30 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

2. Build Character (Grow)

Through relationally based programs and events like dedications and baptisms we partner with parents and assist kids in taking steps of spiritual growth.

John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you.

3. Love People (Connect)

Through small groups and intentional organization, kids will experience consistent community with peers and adult leaders who serve as spiritual leaders.

John 13:34 Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

4. Be the Body (Serve)

We help kids realize that they are part of a collective body bigger than themselves and that through God’s power they can make a significant difference in the world for Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

5. Lead (Multiply)

As kids grow in their faith, we help them see that they can influence others for Christ.

2 Timothy 2:2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.

Quest Church is a place wherekids can be kids!

We provide asafe, loving environment where a child's faith is nurtured and encouraged

What We Believe About Children

 We believe...

  1. Children are a gift from God and should be handled with love and care.

  2. Children are important in the kingdom of God and that Christ died to redeem children from their sin.

  3. Christ has called children to follow him and children can be equipped to serve Christ and others.

  4. Children deserve a safe, positive, nurturing and age appropriate learning environment that is free of fear, pressure to "grow up", or prejudice.

  5. That ministry is not just "to" children but "with" children. We learn from children as we teach them.

  6. That God has appointed parents as their children'sprimary religious instructors and the church's role is to assist in the cooperative effort of that  task.

  7. Successful ministry is the shared responsibility of children, ministry staff & volunteers, parents and the church body.

  8. Positive self-worth promotes both personal growth and growth in a relationship with God.

  9. Ministry should be creative, innovative and in touch with the children and families of our community.

  10. Effective teachers are an important component of our ministry.

  11. We depend on God for the spiritual gifts he has given us, realizing that it is his ministry and not ours.

  12. Relational ministry is best served with adults who serve as positive role models to the child.

Children's Ministry Goals

  1. To provide a safe, secure, loving environment for children to participate in and where parents feel comfortable leaving their child.

  2. To help children feel a warm sense of belonging to their church family and to insure each child feels welcomed and wanted.

  3. For each child to know that God is real and that a personal relationship with Him gives meaning to life.

  4. To aid each child in accepting Jesus Christ as savior and developing a dynamic relationship with him.

  5. To help each child develop a lifestyle that is built on his/her relationship with Jesus Christ.

  6. To help each child understand that God's Word (the Bible) is relevant and that growth in Bible knowledge results in positive changes in attitudes, action and life-style.

  7. To help the child grow in his/her relationships with other believers and with his/her non-churched friends.

  8. To provide children the opportunity and direction to participate in ministry.

  9. To support the family in their responsibility for the spiritual nurture and growth of their child.

  10. To provide Godly teachers who are adequately trained to serve as positive role models while they minister with children.

Children's Ministry Strategy/Philosophy

The Children's Ministry is a dynamic integral part of the total church program. It is a cooperative effort between the church and the home, utilizing the efforts of both parents and the church body to effectively reach the children of our community with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

1. The AIM of our ministry is Christ centered. We desire to lead children into a personal dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and to equip the child to grow in that relationship. We want the child to understand that Jesus Christ is an integral part of his/her life as he/she grows "in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and Man." Luke 2:52

2. The PROGRAMMING of our ministry is centered on the child. Our ministry focuses on the spiritual, relational, physical and mental needs of the child. All programming is designed to encourage growth in these four areas. Our focus is not on program but on people.

3. Our METHODOLOGY is experience based. Our ministry is not solely passive learning (standing in front of a classroom and reciting scripture or telling a story). Our ministry is also active learning as children are involved in the learning process: questioning, discovering and evaluating.

4. Our MATERIAL is Bible-based. We believe that the Word of God has the answers to the needs in our lives and is practical to today's child and adult. Our curriculum is designed to help the child discover what God's Word says and how to apply that truth to his/her life. We equip the child to put truth into action.

5. Our FACILITIES provide an environment that stimulates learning. Our classroom design, furnishings and educational equipment keep in mind the appropriate age group characteristics for the children in that particular room.

6. Our STAFF is comprised of men and women who have trusted Christ as their personal Savior and desire to share the love of Jesus Christ with our children. Recognizing that the majority of our staff are parents and members of the church body we provide the mat
erials, curriculum, facilities and proper training to equip them to successfully accomplish their goals.

Planning Your Visit

Here are a few things that will help your plan you visit to Kid Life.

First-Time Check-In

On your first visit, we will need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, email, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child.

How Check-In Works

When you arrive, look for our Family Ministries check-in desk. One of our friendly team members will help check your child into our system.

Your Kids Will Love It

Kids are a priority at Quest, just like they are in your home. Quest Kids is here to partner with families as we help kids grow in faith and character in a setting created just for them. Just as the adult worship service has been designed specifically for you, so has this time been created just for your child. We want to make this the best hour of your child’s week, as well as your own.

We provide safe, age-appropriate environments and programs where the next generation can experience, explore, and encounter God’s best for their young life. Through captivating Spirit-led worship, fun activities, small groups, discipleship, serving, and connecting with families, we will teach the next generation how to live by the Word, how to live by the Spirit of God, and how to serve in the local church and in the world.

We desire to ignite a passion for our children to follow Jesus. We want to see these children grow to be men and women of God.

Children's Programming

Throughout the year, we have regular events to help parents and children grow in their love for the Lord.

Corporate Worship

We encourage and welcome families to worship together during our services. There is a great, long-term benefit to children and students gathering with the church as a whole for worship. There, they observe their parent(s) and others singing praise to God and soaking up His Word.
