LETTER FROM OUR PASTOR

Our Response to Covid-19

All Church Email 3-17-2020

Dear Quest Family,

As the world retreats into crisis mode, let us as His people advance in caring mode! Keep your eyes wide open as to whom you can help, calm, encourage, or assist. Our heart is always for the health and safety of our church families, both spiritually and physically. And in the wake of the widespread effects of the COVID-19 virus, and keeping with directives from our mayor and governor concerning large gatherings, we will will not be having services in-person until further notice. This means that this is our opportunity to have “Church at home.” Quest worship team will lead a beautiful worship time, and I will bring a very important message that God has placed on my heart. Here are some steps to take to stay connected:

1. Instead of a regular Sunday in-person gathering, we will have an online experience broadcast. Join us online on our "Zoom App"

Our services will broadcast at the following times:

Wednesday Midweek Prayer & Communion 6:30pm

Sunday Communion Service 11:45am

Sunday Worship 12:30pm

Here is the page where we’ll post a weekly schedule of online groups, and below is a short guide to using Zoom.

2. We encourage you to have WATCH PARTIES of no more than 10 people. Gather your group members, friends, and family, and watch the online experience broadcast.

3. We haven’t forgot about our QUEST Kids. You can catch our QUEST Kids Online Experience on our "Zoom App". So if you don’t have it, please go and download (iPhone or Android)

4. We ask that you continue to give as you normally would online on our CashApp ($QUESTCC)

5. Stay connected with a QUEST Small Group Online. Groups are now meeting virtually through Zoom, a video conference application that can be downloaded on your computer, tablet or smartphone. This will be FREE to you. Let’s FIND FREEDOM during this time of uncertainty and crisis.

6. Look out for our weekly prayer conference calls.

7. Don’t forget to check up on others. We are BETTER TOGETHER!

8. If you need help, please email questcc.org@gmail.com.

9. I can’t wait to see how God uses this time as we all gather remotely to be the church (just not at the church building). You’ll be able to connect to the service by downloading  “Zoom.” The Lord is speaking so profoundly to me, and I can’t wait to share His words with you. He has placed me as your shepherd, and I believe the revelation He is giving me is uniquely for Quest Church “flock.” Even though we won’t see you in person this weekend, please let us know how we can pray or assist you. Please email us at questcc.org@gmail.com.

We love you, Pastor Rena'

PS. In accordance with the national guideline to restrict groups to 10 or less and out of an abundance of caution, we will not be hosting any group meetings in the church facility through

QUEST CARES

As the Church, we want to respond to the needs of those most impacted by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). If you have been diagnosed with coronavirus, have been asked to self-quarantine, or are part of a group that is especially vulnerable, we want to be family to you. We can help with things like delivering meals / groceries, running errands, helping with basic financial needs or spending some time praying with you.

COVID-19 INFO & RESOURCES

Background

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by a novel virus that has been spreading worldwide. Community-acquired cases have now been confirmed Ohio. We are gaining more understanding of COVID-19’s epidemiology, clinical course, immunogenicity, and other factors as time progresses, and the situation is changing daily. CDPH is in the process of monitoring COVID-19, conducting testing with local and federal partners, and providing guidance and resources to prevent, detect and respond to the occurrence of COVID-19 cases in Ohio.

Illness Severity

The complete clinical picture with regard to COVID-19 is not fully understood. Reported illnesses have ranged from mild to severe, including illness resulting in death. Older people and people with certain underlying health conditions like heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, for example, seem to be at greater risk of serious illness.

Here are safety steps to take during this time:

1. Effective and frequent hand washing for at least 20 seconds with soap and water is our first line of defense, specially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

2. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve, then throw the tissue in the trash.

3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

4. Doorknobs, counters and others surfaces should be wiped down regularly with household cleaners.

5. Recommend that participants minimize close contact (e.g., recommending no hand shaking or hugging)

6. Individuals who feel like they may have contracted the virus should avoid contact with others, self quarantine and shelter in place at home. The public is asked to avoid hospital emergency rooms except in severe situations.

7. Similarly, we are reminded to only call 911 in the case of absolute emergency. By respecting these guidelines we assist our first responders to help those who need care the most.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We've set up a new page with information on how you can serve your neighbors and the community during this time
