Family Ministry
Family Ministry help parents put faith at the core of their parenting with intentional, biblical instruction and Christ-centered plans that “aim children’s hearts toward God.”
God instituted the family to help us understand the intimate relationships that exists between our heavenly Father and his children, and among us as brothers and sisters in Christ. We desire to be a church that strengthens and actively supports our families. By doing so, we honor God, uphold his creative order, and understand more deeply his love for his people.
Misson
Our mission is to capture the minds and imaginations of our children so they EXALT Jesus in worship, to EMPOWER families to talk about faith in the home and our young people to live for Christ, and to EMBRACE one another as family.
Worshipping Together
What practice in our lives do we most want our children to imitate than our worship of God? Far from a distraction, the presence of children in our corporate gatherings adds authenticity to our worship, and so we encourage children from age 3 years old and up to be present in the sanctuary for at least the beginning of our services. Children ages 3–6
may remain in the sanctuary for the entire service or are invited to attend our kid-friendly Children’s Church services that mirror elements of the sanctuary service.
The Church can have a vital role in training and equipping families to be strong in the Lord. As families spend time together in the Word and prayer, as well as celebrating milestones in their family, they will become healthy families and lights in their community, contributing to a stronger church.
Family ministry is very important. Our mission is to draw parents and children together instead of driving them apart (Mal. 4:6; Luke 1:17).
We promote parents to embrace principal responsibility for their children’s spiritual formation. We in the family-equipping movement are specifically seeking practices of family ministry that are driven and defined by a Scripture-saturated plan for equipping parents to embrace primary responsibility for their children’s discipleship.
At Quest, families are very important to us. Equipping families to be spiritual leaders is even more important to us. Parents are called to lead their children spiritually.
Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes you don’t know where to start. Sometimes you just need to pick up right where you left off. Remember, we are in this together!
